FEP is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. It combines the main qualities and properties of PTFE, only the max operating temperature is lower (max. +200 ° C). FEP is less resistant to wear, tensile and creep compared to other fluorinated polymers however it is chemically inert with a low dielectric constant. FEP is very resistant to stress cracking, it has a low friction coefficient and good thermal resistance. This material resists and transmits Ultraviolet (UV), in particular UVC.
